Meet Kelcey
I’ve been married to my husband, CJ, for 12 years. He really is amazing. We have four children – Avery (8), Riley (5), Makayla (almost 2), and Carter (1). Yes, the babies are very close in age (7 months to be exact) but that’s a story for another time – and yes, it is almost like having twins. Never a dull moment with our crew around and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
I’m a stay-at-home mom (who also drives a school bus!), former indoor cycling instructor and Peloton junkie, casual health enthusiast, hater of clutter, lover of road trips, and an avid fan of dark chocolate almonds, coffee, and anything pineapple or coconut.
I started Okie Sunshine in 2016 when our family was going through some rough times and I needed something positive to fill my evenings. From that small first step, Okie Sunshine has grown into more than I ever imagined with a viral post, almost 6,000 Facebook followers, and an interest in web design.
Through a lot of trial and error, experimentation, and many many YouTube videos I began working the kinks out of my own projects and discovering how to work smarter, not harder. I then started asking to barter services (Web Design for Dog Training, for example) and became even more comfortable with what it takes to create simple, yet attractive, websites.
That’s where Okie Sunshine Creative comes in – as a busy semi-stay-at-home mom (and with the price of, well…everything, going up!), I began thinking of ways that I could help supplement our family’s income without going back to work full-time or losing our flexibility.
I am excited to use these skills to help others improve their web presence and as a creative outlet for myself!
