There’s something magical about a spin class workout. Had a stressful day? Go to spin. Feeling sleepy? GO TO SPIN! If you know me at all, you know that I LOVE spin class. Like, LOVE it. To me, there is no sweat like a spin class sweat. Are you getting the extent of my love yet? 😂

I’ve been teaching spin class off and on for the last 5 years. Before our oldest daughter was born, I was teaching 3 spin classes a week…back to back! I loved it, but I couldn’t keep up the physical demands during my pregnancy. I resumed teaching spin over a year ago and have fallen in love all over again. Get paid to do my favorite workout with a bunch of friends? YES PLEASE.
Spin Class Magic
Spin leaves you feeling simply exhausted and relaxed, all at the same time! What’s even better, is to hear the groans and sighs from my class…that means we’re working hard! My class keeps coming back (well, most of them 😉) so I joke that we have a love/hate relationship – they may hate me during class, but they love their results and the feeling of accomplishment!
Because I love what I do so much, I thought I’d start sharing my class on a weekly basis. If you don’t own an indoor cycling (stationary) bike, you can find some great deals on Amazon or places like Facebook Marketplace. Most gyms have spin bikes you can use with your membership as well.
Here’s the bike I purchased for in-home use. I liked that it was reasonably priced and had good reviews. If you’re a beginner, this is all the bike you need!
If you are a beginner or just thinking of giving cycling a try, you have to check out this ultimate guide to your first indoor cycling class.
For a more detailed guide (especially for beginners) on how to safely set up your bike, frequently used terms and phrases, and what to expect in an in-person or virtual cycling class, download a copy of my eBook.
Week 1
Feel free to ask me any questions about what things mean, and remember, just have fun with it! Clip in, sweat it out, and enjoy your spin class workout.
If you’ve never taken a spin class before, join me! I’d love to send you the class schedule and sweat it out together 💪🚴♀️
Week 2
This week was all about power and strength. Gaining strength and endurance is hard work, and you’ve gotta push through your limits to take yourself even further!
My favorite part of this week’s class was having one of our members burn over 1,000 calories during her workout!! That’s just insane. This girl *always* comes to work hard and I am so inspired by her!
Week 3
I have to brag for a minute…a friend and I decided to run a virtual 5k at the end of October. Now, I have *not* been running, so my daughter (in the stroller) and I went out just to see how far I could go. You guys, I ran an entire 5k relatively easily all because of my cycling workouts!! I was so proud of what my body was able to accomplish. Find an activity that you love to do, and you’ll be amazed at what else you can achieve!
I do have to confess, I was super sore afterwards. As if that wasn’t enough, this week’s cycling routine was meant to get my class up and out of the saddle! Standing kicks cycling up a notch and is sure to have your legs and booty a little angry.
Week 4
Ok, confession…so after my run last week, I couldn’t walk for a few days afterwards 🤣. That’s ok though, it’s been motivation to keep running so that I *never* have to feel that sore again.
My favorite thing about indoor cycling is the intense sweat you walk out of the room with! I tease my class to stretch and put their arms way up in the air to show off the sweaty armpits (or, “badges of honor”) haha.
My most favorite spin accessory is my Fitbit . I love seeing my heart rate zones and general performance improve over time. A few of us in the class wear one, and it’s always disappointing if it’s forgotten. We want our “points” for the workout! 😂
I loved reading about your love for cycling! I, too, have a love for exercising, and have said for many years that it was my “drug” of choice. A short run, a Tabata workout, and, like you, a spin class actually gave me energy and blessed me with a good night sleep. Thanks for sharing your love for spin; may it inspire all of us to get moving!! Xoxo
Thank you! That is so great – I love to hear that! It’s not work to exercise or stay fit when you find an activity that you love. It really is like therapy 😊 I tell the girls all the time that “I’m a better me when I exercise.” You’re such an inspiration Mandy! 😊❤
I’m not finding any links to the Playlist. Do you happen to have them?
Hi Jennifer – the playlists are the pinnable graphics included in the post, I don’t have them compiled in a streaming service 🙂
