Clip In, Sweat It All Out: Spin Class Workout Set #3

Going to spin class is my absolute favorite workout! I’ve slowly been convincing my friends to give it a try, and this month had 2 of them take me up on it.

With 2021 just around the corner, many of us will set some new goals for ourselves. What are some things you’d like to accomplish in the new year? Your goals may be related to your health, finances, spiritual life, or other area of personal growth.

Many of us will re-commit to our health and fitness routines. I can feel the extra cookies I’ve enjoyed this holiday season, but hey, it’s definitely not worth stressing over!

In fact, I designed a new tank and t-shirt to celebrate my love of desserts 😏. And this is why I go to spin class, haha!

Trying a Spin class workout for the first time?

Remember those friends I mentioned who braved spin class with me? This is probably the #1 piece of advice they would give you…GET A SEAT CUSHION!!!

Honestly, I’ve been doing this for awhile, so my derriere has built up some resistance, but if you are new you will be much more comfortable with a bike seat cover like this.

In a pinch, you can also fold up a towel to use a booty buffer, but a bike seat cover will provide the comfort you need without threatening to fall off the seat.

I told my newbies that your first (and maybe second 😉) spin class workouts will be the hardest, but your body will adjust as you build endurance.

For a more detailed guide (especially for beginners) on how to safely set up your bike, frequently used terms and phrases, and what to expect in an in-person or virtual cycling class, download a copy of my eBook.

Spin Class Workout #1

I am constantly on the hunt for new songs to add to my spin class playlists. This week featured some new (and old) favorites – especially “Hold My Hand” and “Crab Rave”! One of closest friends and her daughter joined me for this session. She’s a HUGE Beyoncé fan, so of course I had to throw a couple of hers in there as well!

Spin Class Workout #2

Like I’ve mentioned before, we live in a popular city for retirees and snowbirds. Spin class just isn’t as fun if you don’t like the music, so, I try to cater this specific crowd as often as I can. This week, the request was 60s music. Honestly, I thought it would be a little more challenging to work up a good sweat with this playlist, but that wasn’t the case at all! We were all singing along and really getting into the music.

Spin Class Workout #3

I’m not sure why, but I have been extra holiday spirit-y this year. Maybe it’s the craziness that 2020 has brought? Anyways, I snuck a few Christmas songs in this week…just for fun. Remember on rolling hills, you can mix it up by doing different resistance levels each set or by making each song harder (or easier, if you have to 😉).

Spin Class Workout #4 – CHRISTMAS!!

Merry Christmas!! I realize that by the time I’m posting this, Christmas has already passed. Oops. We had a lot of company this fall and did quite a bit of travelling too. So, break this playlist out if you’re not ready to let the holiday spirit die…or save it for next year! It really was a lot of fun.
